I think I want Spurs to win the league
Spurs have always been my most hated team. WH-Spurs is the one game I want to win each year more than any other, no question. I hate their fans, I hate their jumped up sense of self-important and delusions of grandeur.

However, after today - and to say this would have been unthinkable to me as recently as last week - I think I want them to win the league. Leicester were a disgrace today. A fucking disgusting showing from their players to their fans. The fact our chairman and his son had to be removed by police for "their own safety" is utterly disgusting. The fact they booed the ref off when they - as another poster aptly put it - "should have been sucking him off" - is astonishing. How utterly clueless do you have to be to boo off a guy that gave you a get out of jail card 5 minutes into injury time. It was a disgusting decision to give that pen. Utterly appalling. Utterly disgraceful.

And yet the only reason he was even allowed to make the call was because of a disgusting dive in the box - their second of the game. Vardy was rightly sent off first time around but this one was just as bad. It's so clearly not a foul. It's so clearly a dive. I'm so disgusted by that decision I actually have completely turned on them. And let's not even get started on the fouling by Huth and co on every set piece. It's thuggery pure and simple. When they are not strong-arming people, they are throwing themselves to the ground.

Fairy tales are nice but when you learn that Cinderella is actually a meth addict who has whored out her sisters to feed her habit, the sheen rather wears off. Fuck those cunts. Fuck them. I still fucking hate Spurs but there's no question that if they win it, at least they will have done it without been gifted a bunch of points by fucking appalling refereeing and clear cut cheating.

So, *drinks bleach* come on you Spurs...

Not me, I'd sooner eat my own shit than see those north London cunts win anything. In fact, I'd sooner eat yours...

Re: I think I want Spurs to win the league
I know exactly what you mean Adam. But Leicester have not been like this for the whole season - it was pace and motivation which brought them to the top rather than the despicable Pulis Stoke-style cheating which we saw yesterday.
And if Spurs win I shall have to put up with bragging from various friends and relatives. At least I don't have to meet Leicester fans. If Leicester win it'll be easier to ignore, so I'll stay with them rather than Spurs.

'At least I don't have to meet Leicester fans.'

Precisely.

@chigwell

Yes good point about friends and relatives who would crow if Spurs won - there is certainly that to consider. I also don't know any Leicester fans so you're right that it's easier to ignore. I'm still totally incensed though. "Stoke style cheating" is very accurate.

I fully understand your post Adam and am close to adopting this opinion. Overall though, I don't give a Fuck anymore. Bring on next season.

I watched the game in a pub in Enfield full of yids. Was quite bizarre them cheering us on and all going mental when we scored.

Don't want either of them to win it to be honest.

Leicester are a Non Fooballing Team...Divers ...Thugs...Time Wasters ...Con Men...
Dirty tricksters...And Cunts to Boot...

At least Spurs have quality...and rely on ability...effort...skill...not Dirty tricks like Leicester...

Re: I think I want Spurs to win the league
If Leicester City win the league, it will be one of, if not the, biggest upsets in the history of the game.

For years after, we'll all be hearing about it, to the point that the achievement will be banged on and on and on about, 'til you want to hear and read no more about it.

if Spurs do it, it will be even worse - people will be reminded of it in the year 2046.

I want Leicester to win the league...

The same thought crossed my mind during yesterday's match. I prefer the spurs team and their style of football.

I was swayed back over to Leicester simply because I know no Leicester fans, and spurs are supported by cunts.

Re: I think I want Spurs to win the league
Leicester City have the most embarrassing post-96 wanker new breed fans that I've ever seen.

They've only really been on the radar the past 20 years (at least 10 of which have been outside the top-flight) when Martin O'Neil somehow guided this awful wanker club to two League Cup triumphs.

They're a woeful club. Happy-clappers. Fully-grown men in replica shirts with player names and PL badges. Shit, lower-league, tinpot chants. Music after goals. Terrible.

As I've already said; if we can't win the league then I'd much rather a proper football club with proper football fans win the league - Everton or Newcastle United etc.

Texas, everything you wrote is true but never never never never ever would i want spurs to win the league.

Trust me, the spurs fans (and chairman btw) do not deserve what's happening to them right now!

Re: I think I want Spurs to win the league
Even the most ardent Leicester fan knows in their heart that this is a one off, a blip in the history of English football, kind of like how '66 was a blip in the history of the World Cup. But they'll dine out on it for years, the way we do about '66.

If Spurs win, they'll think it's the start of a dynasty & the title is theirs by divine right next season etc & be more unbearable than ever.

In that instance, I'll take the blip & give Leicester their 15 minutes of fame because I think there's more chance of England winning the next World Cup that Leicester ever doing this again.
